Video Conversions

EssnJay Digital Imaging can convert most video formats to most other formats. Currently we can only handle NTSC (American) format.

VHS

This is the format that virtually everyone has the ability to view. It represents the low end of the video quality spectrum. EssnJay Digital Imaging uses professional recorders, high quality professional tapes and the best of duplication services for larger quantities. Therefore, you'll receive the best possible VHS tapes from EssnJay Digital Imaging.

S-VHS

This format is like VHS but produces significantly higher video quality. If your audience has the ability to use S-VHS tapes, this format will provide much better results than VHS.

Mini DV

This is the highest quality consumer video tape format available today. With the increasing popularity of consumer and prosumer Mini-DV camcorders, more and more people have the ability to view these tapes. EssnJay Digital Imaging can provide your videos on professional quality Mini-DV tapes, recorded on very high quality Mini-DV recorders for the highest video quality available to the consumer today on tape.

DVD

This is the highest quality video available to consumers today. See our DVD Facts page for details. EssnJay Digital Imaging can place video from any of these other video media formats to DVD-R. The resulting quality will only be as good as the input, so if you convert from VHS to DVD, the resultant quality will only be as good as the original VHS.

8 MM

This is a medium to high quality video tape format that appears to be headed for oblivion. EssnJay Digital Imaging can convert your 8 MM video to any of the other formats (including DVD) to preserve your irreplaceable video.

We can convert any of these to any other of these formats. We can then produce as many of the resulting tapes as you need.

Currently, we can't deal with either PAL or SECAM formats. If there's sufficient demand, we will arrange to deal with conversion from/to PAL and SECAM.
