Custom Photo Printing

After your heirloom has been retouched or restored, we'll custom print it for you.

EssnJay Digital Imaging uses the latest Epson Professional Ink Jet printers to produce prints of astonishingly high resolution and photo quality.

Prints are available on several different paper surfaces:

Premium Gloss

Usually used for prints that will be displayed without glass or plexiglas over them. This is a full gloss surface very like conventional gloss photo prints. Prints on this paper should last at least 40 years

Premium Luster

This is a satin luster finish especially for portraits and things like wedding pictures. It has a slight surface texture and a light glossy appearance similar to conventional semi-gloss photo papers. These prints will also last approximately 40 years.

Premium Semi Matte

Less gloss than Luster. Especially nice for prints that will be displayed under glass in a frame. These prints should last approximately 50 years.

Matte

For Fine Art prints and prints that will be framed. This is a smooth matte surface with a life span of 100+ years when framed and kept out of direct sunlight. For your framed display prints this or Woodstock Watercolor should be your choice.

Woodstock Watercolor

This is a beautiful paper for fine art prints. Surface has a random texture that can make a reproduction look very like an original work.

The life spans quoted above apply to prints kept out of direct sunlight, in a reasonably controlled environment and under glass/Plexiglas or in an album or portfolio. If any of these prints are continually exposed to direct sunlight and or weather, color fading will be noted in a fairly short time.

Prints up to 24" x 36" are printed from the digital file (either yours or ours). If desired, extensive editing and retouching will be done before printing. Print prices on the price page represent reasonable editing and retouching/restoration times. If more work is needed, extra editing can be performed. Contact us for pricing for extended editing.

Please make sure the files are high resolution and color quality as the printing process can not “make up” information to fill in a low resolution, poorly focused or poor color picture. This is especially important for larger prints (8" X 10") and larger.

EssnJay Digital Imaging will refuse to print any file which (in our opinion) will not produce a very high quality print of the size requested!
