Photo Retouching and Editing

Have you got some photos that are important to you and impossible to replace, but either the color is bad or there's a tree apparently growing out of someone's left ear? Regardless of whether they are digital or conventional photographs we will retouch them and adjust them to be better than they ever were before. If they're already digital, we'll deal directly with the digital file. If they're traditional technology we'll use a professional flatbed scanner (from print or negative) to digitize the photograph. Then we'll remove the tree, adjust the color and, in short, make a mediocre photo into a great one. Then we'll print it in any size you'd like and deliver a stunning full color print to you.

This service, like restoration, is priced based on the amount of work involved, and the difficulty of the retouching. We really can't price this without seeing what's involved. Once the retouching is complete, the prints will be at our normal custom printing prices.

Photo Restoration

Do you have a priceless or irreplaceable old photo that's damaged or the color is faded? We will digitize the photo, then digitally repair the faults and print the photo in full color, or, if the photo was in black and white or sepia, we'll reproduce it as close to the original as possible.

Obviously we can't work miracles, but we can, and do recover a great many of these pictures which cannot be replaced. As a bonus, once the digitized photo has been cleaned up, the digital file can serve as a new negative. The digital file can be reprinted at any time.

Pricing for this service depends on the size and condition of the original, the worse it is the more effort it takes to restore it. Prints are made from the restored file at our regular custom print prices. Contact us to arrange getting the original to us. Once we get the original, we'll evaluate it and get back to you with an estimate of the restoral costs.
